The Safdico RSA facility adheres strictly to the Diamond Trading Company's Best Practice Principles programme. This ensures that consumers are able to rely with complete confidence on the professional and ethical standards of the diamond industry. The programme also sets out certain business practices which state that the company does not, and will not buy or trade rough diamonds from areas where it would encourage or support conflict and human suffering. Neither will the company intentionally or recklessly endanger, or harm the welfare of individuals, or exploit the use of child labour.

A further commitment to maintaining the highest industry ethics includes the provision of proper working conditions, including the health, safety and wellbeing of workers.

A recent award from the Mining Qualifications Authority recognised the company's ongoing efforts for the safeguarding and development of its workforce.
