Background
In keeping with the Botswana Government’s vision for the establishment of a downstream diamond industry, Diamond Technology Park has placed Botswana at the top of the diamond technology curve.
This centre of excellence, expediently situated a short distance from the airport, city centre of Gaborone and Debswana, is known as Diamond Technology Park.
Diamond Technology Park has been developed in a professional, socially responsible, commercially viable and sustainable manner that satisfies the aspirations of government, the international diamond industry and other key stakeholders.
Modelled on similar successful international developments, the concept of Diamond Technology Park is that of a supply chain cluster housing the entire diamond industry in a centralized, secure manner.
Diamond Technology Park tenants have been drawn from the world’s leading diamond companies who enjoy superior levels of expertise and solid experience. Other tenants include companies that service the diamond manufacturing industry such as local and international banks, courier companies, machinery suppliers, security, the Botswana Police, a world renowned laboratory, mining houses, brokers, consultants, the Diamond Hub and the diamond office of the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources.
This model creates opportunities for small, medium and micro enterprises and generates greater efficiencies and security for all.
Space to Purchase or Let
Diamond Technology Park has been built in phased developments.
Phase 1 includes the Atrium and Courtyard Buildings as well as Safdico and other diamond cutting companies.
The Atrium houses support services to the diamond industry and is fully let. Unfortunately there is no space available in this building
The Courtyard Building houses light industrial companies and is fully let. Unfortunately there is no space available in this building
Phase 2 is a plot of 14,000m² which will be developed as the industry demands it. In this area, tenants can either purchase a plot of land and build their own facility thereon or alternatively tenants can rent space directly from Diamond Technology Park
